Morning all

As you will already know, President Nelson has asked us to participate in a fast from today to tomorrow, I'd invite you to review the message in a family council this morning, review a time that all may participate in one way or another.

Children

For children it maybe that they participate in a treat fast or a no device fast.

Medical Conditions

For saints with medical conditions you may decide to participate by simplifying your meals for the next 24 hours.

Starting and ending

As always start with a prayer and end with a prayer.

Sharing and inviting

At this moment in time we need to the strength of all faithful members and even those who are currently struggling with their faith. Let's go further, invite and share with your friends on social media that midday you'll be fasting along with 16 million other people and as them to join you, it would be great to share the Youtube video in the same post.

Communication

Please remember that we update our Ward website regularly with posts from local leaders and church leaders and our Elders currently serving. There is a Wix app that you can download when you visit the mobile site that will give you updates as soon as they are released. Apart from email this is the only large scale method we have for reaching as many members as we can.

Our communication channels are:

- Email (major events)

- Ward Website (Digital notice board and hub for all members)

- Ward Facebook page (A forum to ask for help, post and share with your ward friends and Chorley 4 alumni)

- Chorley 4 Instagram (For pictures of events, this is fed on to the ward website)

- Messenger YM/YW and Primary Chat (For activities and advice)

- Whatsapp (Ward Council, Relief Society and Elder Quorum coordination, Parent Chat)

- Trello (Ward assignment planning, progress tracking, and reporting)

Reporting Sacrament

As you know that we've been asked to report to the Stake President those families who have completed sacrament in their homes. The first week we had 15 families the second week we had 4. I'm absolutely certain that this is simply a reporting break down, to combat this we've create a quick report form on the ward website. There is a link in the front page called Report Sacrament

It's literally your family name and how many were in attendance.

Members with no Priesthood authority to bless the Sacrament

I would also like to invite those without the ability to have sacrament in their homes to dedicate a specific time every Sunday where you read through the sacrament prayers, and also participate in reading a talk or from Come follow Me.

Conclusion

Whilst this maybe a lonely and scary time, we have the hope and the brightness of the Gospel. Decide now how to come out of this situation more spiritual, healthier, fitter more intellectual and wise than your were before. If you've not done so already please review the video on the Ward Website - You cant close my heart, it brings hope, inspiration and vision. Stay safe and follow the guidance of the Government.

If you are able, and your family situation allows and you've discussed with your family, we'd also invite you to participate in the Governments call to support the NHS by volunteering to help delivery medication/food parcels. Please review this carefully and be wise and ask Heavenly Father for revelation as to whether this is safe for you and those in your household.

With all my love

Bishop Grew
